I was the Labour Party agent during the general election that preceded the by-election of Mark Hunter - I worked pretty hard in the by-election but even so was unaware how many leaflets the Lib Dems and Conservatives put out until I found this site.

The inside story mentions loss of 88 jobs and cuts in services. I will never envy politicians trying to balance the books. Sometimes you have to make cuts - something that looks nice and simple and innocuous in accountant speak can have enormous consequences for many people.
